Executive Summary of the ARA™

A. The purpose of the ARA, Inc. (and ARAF, Inc.) is to abate unnecessary gun deaths among our citizenry via various strategic methods, while respecting and protecting Americans' fundamental Second Amendment rights. The first above charity lobbies our government for legal change, the latter charity performs social, educational, community, training, emergency response, and deliberative functions. Each individual member of each organization is a member of our Advisory Board, and is therefore entitled to vote on all matters before the body and to recommend courses of action to the Board of Governors. All have a voice.

B. ARA™ and ARAF™ acknowledge the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. We disagree with its current metering, and we believe common sense needs to be re-introduced to the microphone. We despise the methods employed by the NRA™ and their ilk to influence policy using a "bodies for profit" platform. Their methods ensure the profits of gun manufacturers at the known and quantified expense of public (human) safety. (US Gun Control: What Is the NRA and Why Is It so Powerful?, 2023)

C. Our most fervent desire is to save parents from sending their children to school in the morning only to be required by afternoon to identify those same children via clothing items, their bodies too mutilated by gunfire to be recognizable (Preventing Gun Violence, the Leading Cause of Childhood Death, 2022). Our greatest need is to inform a hungry public that, indeed, they can aggregate their frustrated voices toward substantial and meaningful legislative and societal change. Our most grand goal is to provide Americans the necessary education and training to responsibly and safely co-exist in a society where guns are omnipresent. Our most humble offerings are transparent integrity and true, democratic representation of our members' demands of our government concerning firearms and firearm safety.

D. We possess researched, developed, and patented technology which dictates the ability of a firearm to be operated within a defined perimeter surrounding schools, churches, synagogues, mosques, areas of mass congregation, et al. Public safety is nothing but enhanced and harm reduced through this proprietary technology. We will further develop this technology and draft broad legislation designed to drastically decrease gun violence in the United States. This legislation is being designed to remain compliant with American citizens' rights under the Second Amendment.

E. Gun violence against innocent minorities and vulnerable citizens, whether performed by civilians or by law enforcement, signals challenges on both ends of the crime spectrum. (Garnett & Spencer, 2023) In addition to sponsoring policing reform, we wish to return to a seemingly-bygone and very useful set of traditional values surrounding firearms in the United States, and to provide outreach, resource, education, and support to responsible gun owners and the public in general. Education saves lives.

F. We support and appreciate individuals who serve in our nation's law enforcement agencies, but we disagree vehemently with very visible compartments of the “Law and Order Platform” which seek to foment violence for profit. This attempt toward increased revenue promotes, and indeed relies upon, gun violence in order to succeed. It costs officers' lives, and it costs civilian lives, literally every single day. We aim for the implementation of policing reforms designed to cause greater training, objectivity, education, and resource for overburdened law enforcement personnel in order to reverse this unconscionable and damaging trend. We strictly oppose for-profit prisons and similar constructs.

G. We can and will no longer stand idly by, observing a corrupt NRA™ as it variously promotes violence while throwing lavish parties. (Stone, 2023) We wish to dismantle their harmful agenda with a return to common sense. We endeavor not to create controversy, but to cause clarity. We need to sell no ideology, as overwhelming U.S. public opinion and NRA™ member polling indicates the broadest-ever historical support for sensible gun law reform. (Sherman, 2018) NRA™ members want to leave; they simply have nowhere to go. (Plummer et al., 2023) We provide that new fort for disenfranchised NRA™ members, along with the protections necessary for preserving it.

H. On the opposite end of the spectrum, though individuals and organizations in favor of protective and sensible gun legislation certainly exist, they have been effectively disabled by purposeful division. Scores of activist groups, both small and large, exist, but there is no central, apolitical “clearinghouse” suitable to these massive but entirely disjointed efforts.

I. We shall act as that clearinghouse for change. Let all who enter be heard. If our elected politicians can't get it right, we'll show them how, together. We are for Americans, hard stop. Whether you love guns or hate them, no matter your other memberships or affiliations, we want to hear your voice.

J. The above summary permits the ARA to effectively educate and advocate for sensible gun law reform and for public safety while protecting Constitutional rights. We are a voice for the people, not corporate interests. Gun or no gun, our brothers and sisters from all walks of life and backgrounds have spoken clearly, loudly. They, you, as a vast majority, want sensible gun law implementation - a safe society for all. (Jones, 2023).

K. We strive to advance the slow-but-active dialogue, quickly, seeking reasonable safety measures, not only for those who do not own and may even detest guns, but for those who do own and responsibly operate firearms.

L. We work with local law enforcement agencies to instruct and support the general public in gun safety procedures, thus better securing firearms from at-risk populations.
​
M. We interface with state and local health care workers on the front lines, opening dialogue about gun safety with both patient and practitioner, as well as addressing the need for community mental health resources and support. We support teachers, parents, and students who require and deserve a safe and secure learning and working environment.

N. We are the voice of the people. We are the masses. We can cast a much louder, honest, transparent, productively deliberative, and collective voice together. READ:

This is not a “Right vs. Left” issue. This is simply Right vs. Wrong. As such, we
offer and value input from all members, bi-partisan board officers including
seasoned law enforcement, active military and veterans, and community leaders. Celebrities,
sportsmen and sportswomen, hunters, athletes, educators, and governors will all speak at
the same table in order to demonstrably cause change through education and via
collaboration. Through unification and clarity, we blaze a clear path toward the
realization of one of our most fundamental and unique rights as Americans:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to
secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their
just powers from the consent of the governed…”.
This uniquely American right, "the pursuit of Happiness," must be recognized as being of
tremendous importance and value, and must be made equitably available to all citizens of
our great republic. This oft-forgotten right can not be effectively exercised beneath the shadow
of a gun or gun-related violence as is currently permitted by national legislation, "money over
people," and an intentionally manufactured, boiling-hot subject climate.
